Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment, preparing digital files for production, and ensuring the quality and precision of printed components. This role is critical in supporting our client’s innovation and production goals in additive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate various 3D printers (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF, DMLS) to produce parts according to specifications.
- Support removal and post processing of parts.
- Calibrate and maintain additive manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- File Preparation:
- Prepare and optimize digital files (STL, OBJ) for printing using CAD software.
- Perform slicing operations to generate G-code for 3D printers.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect printed parts for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet design specifications and tolerances.
- Perform post-processing tasks such as cleaning, curing, and finishing printed parts.
- Material Management:
- Handle and manage printing materials, including loading and unloading materials from machines.
- Monitor material inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of print jobs, machine maintenance, and material usage.
- Report any issues or defects encountered during the printing process to the supervisor.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Experience in additive manufacturing or a related field.
- Proficiency with 3D printing technologies and CAD software.
- Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Certifications:
- Certifications in additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., SME Additive Manufacturing Certificate) are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods standing and working on machinery.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
