Job Summary
TalentWise is seeking an Additive Post Processing Technician to join our team. You will have an opportunity to work at some of the best companies in the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and finishing 3D-printed components to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves working with various post-processing techniques, including cleaning, sanding, painting, and assembling, to ensure the final product meets design and functional requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with hands-on tools, and has a strong understanding of additive manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-Processing Operations: Perform post-processing tasks such as support removal, surface finishing, sanding, polishing, painting, dyeing, and assembly of 3D-printed parts. Additive technologies include, Polyjet, FDM, MJF, SLS, SLA, DMLS etc.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and functional specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain post-processing equipment such as sandblasters, ultrasonic cleaners, tumblers, and paint booths.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve post-processing workflows and ensure efficient production.
- Material Handling: Handle and store materials and parts safely, following company guidelines and material specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, inspection results, and process adjustments.
- Health & Safety: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the additive manufacturing team to ensure seamless integration of post-processing with upstream production processes.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, post-processing, or a similar hands-on role is a plus
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., SLA, SLS, FDM, MJF) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment.
- Understanding of surface finishing techniques and material properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods standing and working on machinery.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
