Job Summary
TalentWise is seeking a Prototype Project Coordinator responsible for managing and coordinating the development of prototypes from concept through production. This role involves close collaboration with design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure that prototypes are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all required specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and has experience in project management and product development.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Assist in creating detailed project plans and timelines for prototype development, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
- Coordination & Communication: Act as the main point of contact between various teams (engineering, design, manufacturing, quality control, etc.), ensuring clear communication and updates on project progress.
- Resource Management: Identify and manage resources required for prototype projects, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Schedule and coordinate prototype builds, testing, and revisions as necessary to meet project milestones.
- Procurement: Work closely with the team to source and acquire necessary materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project budgets.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with external suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and specialized services for prototype development as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including design changes, test results, and project notes to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor and track project budgets, providing regular updates and reports on expenditures and cost variances.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality teams to ensure that prototypes meet all design and regulatory requirements, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential roadblocks in the prototype process and work proactively to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize prototype development efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Product Development, or relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, ideally in prototyping, manufacturing, product development, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software or design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
