Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I

Position Summary
TalentWise is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to support the assembly, inspection, and testing of metal additive manufacturing systems. This role is hands-on and focused on following established work instructions, supporting production builds, and ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process.
The Manufacturing Technician I works closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment and is expected to maintain a high level of attention to detail and consistency.
Essential Functions
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Perform basic testing and inspection of components using standard tools and equipment
- Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or nonconforming parts
- Accurately document work performed, inspection results, and issues identified
- Support material handling, staging, and preparation for builds
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
- Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on processes and instructions
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment
- U.S. citizenship required due to ITAR-controlled facility requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of standard software tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a precision manufacturing or equipment assembly environment
- Familiarity with inspection tools or basic measurement equipment
- Forklift experience or certification
- Experience working in a regulated or safety-focused manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Required use of steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, and other PPE as required
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical or vocational training a plus
