Job Title: Prototype CNC Specialist

Location: Seattle, WA and Redmond, WA

Job Type: Full-Time  


Job Summary

TalentWise is hiring a highly experienced Prototype CNC Specialist to support onsite operations with one of our customers. This role requires advanced technical skill, ownership of prototyping workflows, and the ability to work closely with design engineers to produce ultra-precision components in a fast-paced R&D environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CNC machines  (3-axis, 5-axis) with a focus on precision prototyping.
  • Handle CAM programming and the  operation of both CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Machine complex geometry  components in metals and plastics.
  • Collaborate with engineers on  part functionality, manufacturability, and design iteration.
  • Own scheduling, execution, and  final delivery of prototyping tasks.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed (e.g. saw-cutting, handwork, inspection prep).


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a  prototype machining environment.
  • Strong experience with multi-axis  machining (3-axis/5-axis), especially Hermle and Yasda.
  • Proficient in CAM programming (hyperMILL,  Fusion 360, or NX)
  • Familiarity with CAD software and  fixture design (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, NX).
  • Proven ability to work  autonomously and handle shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Yasda  and/or palletized 5-axis setups.
  • Experience with hyperMILL
  • Prior work in ultra-precision  environments (e.g. aerospace, medical, optics).
  • Deep understanding of CNC program  formatting and troubleshooting.
  • DFM experience and proactive communication with design teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to improve machining processes.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to operational procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with prolonged  periods standing and operating machinery.
  • Strong manual dexterity and  attention to fine detail
